I recieved an issue of Sonic the Hedgehog in the mail the day Michael Jackson died, so here's a post about that one time Michael and Sonic crossed paths.

As some of you may know, Michael Jackson composed the music to Sonic 3... er, kinda-maybe. Read more about it here (it's looooooooo-o-o-ng!)

The gist:
Sega wanted Jackson to create the music for their new Sonic game, but cut ties with him after the scandal. Sega then brought in their own musicians to finish the soundtrack. MJ's own music was either tossed out completely or "reworked", or something.. maybe.

Now, that wasn't confusing at all, was it??

One thing's for sure - MJ's influence can clearly be heard in the finished soundtrack. Here's a playlist of the music in Sonic 3 that has "Michael Jackson" written all over it:

And that's not all!
Years later, after that first scandal had died down, MJ actually appeared in another Sega franchise: Space Channel 5.
And yes, that's the real Michael Jackson's voice you hear in this ad:

Pixelated's Hard Hitting Interview with Captain O

Today's comic was based (vaguely) on actual events. See, the Prez came to my town Thursday for about 17 minutes, most of which was spent at a Caterpillar plant giving a speech. So here's a comic about him at a Cat plant getting grilled by Angela Anonymous, ace reporter for the Non-Existent Times.

Gaze in awe at the newest innovation in sequential art: Colo(u)r.

Notice something different about my site? No, it didn't get a haircut.. I installed that there Wordpress software! Now my site is finally automated, jus' like the big boys.

Sure was a lot harder than I thought it would be, though. For instance, I had to learn some PHP. And there was so much crap to change in the stylesheet. AND I had to rename all my comics, a task that has yet to be completed. All this took quite some time - I've been tweaking the code since last month year. [ dodges gatling guns ]

Anyways, all of 1998's comics are currently in the new archives, along with some of last year's. Until I get the rest of 'em converted and renamed, I'm leaving up a link to the old page. Enjoy it while you can, mwahahaa...

Oh, and note the "cast" link near the top of my pages. I'm actually committing myself to slapping together a cast page this year. So keep checking that link every now and then, eh?

Instead of making comics last month, I felt compelled to work on this instead.

Yes, it's "Caramelldansen" - the meme where we copy an animation cycle from some Japanese porn game and make 'em dance to 45 rpm Europop! And now there's a Pixelated version, because we all know the world needed one.

Out of all my NINE-THOUSAAAAAND(!!!) characters, only Angie and Splunky were willing to perform. Click on the "High Quality" link on the video's page to watch 'em dance in all their non-blurry glory.

At least one other webcomic-er has contributed to this phenomenon: the way more popular VG Cats Guy.
Mine syncs better, though.. [dodges buckshot]

And hey! Uncle Jesse's in it, too! This is one of the greatest casts EVAR, and I missed it! Darn it! Darn the luck!
